Everyone experiences anxious feelings and stress at times. We have all felt that feeling before an exam or before a performance when we our breathing rate increases and our heart starts to pump, but when this continues we may feel out of control and it may start to affect our day to day living and ability to cope. We may even start to worry about what is wrong with us.
Anxiety occurs when those feelings of stress and fear get out of hand and may even create those physical feelings. For many people this can be very debilitating and they may resort to food or substances or avoidance to abate to problem, which may help temporarily. Unfortunately these coping mechanisms only make it worse! There are no quick fixes for anxiety, but hypnotherapy combined with Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) can help. Ideally getting to the cause of the issue would be a much more effective way of managing the stress and anxiety. This is not always possible, yet with NLP and hypnotherapy we can access were those initial imprints and impressions come from. This can also be accessed through long term psychological therapies such as psycho dynamic therapy, dream therapy and regression. Once this is accessed we can start to heal. Using the combination of psychological therapies such as Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT).
